Stella Blue Pictures

Winter Cover

Here are several pictures of the winter cover I use on Stella Blue. The cover consists of two 20 X 40 heavy duty poly tarps and a 2 x 4 wood ridge beam that is spiced together with plywood and screws for easy disassembly in the spring. All supports have a 2 x 4 base that is wrapped in rug remnants to protect the deck. Although the forward tarp wraps to far down on the hull in these pictures, I plan on trimming the tarps and installing new grommets for next season. Also missing from these pictures is a 16 X 20 tarp that wraps around the stern. I leave an opening around the laid down radar mast at the back and an opening at the bow rail pulpit section for ventilation. I also suggest the use of poly line rather than nylon, as the nylon stretches to much and needs more attention.
