When you're are out on the hook, it's always a good idea to leave the anchor light on overnight. Problem is energy consumption with the incandescent bulbs. They also seem to burn out just when you need them most. A simple solution is converting the Perko #1184 combo light to LED's. Marinebeam sells great LED festoon bulbs that fit the bill. Here is some info from their website.

Perko Atwood Hella 31mm Festoon LED Replacement Bulbs

You can order the bulbs on their website:

https://store.marinebeam.com/perko-atwood-hella-31mm-festoon-led-replacement-bulbs/

These bulbs fits some Perko, Attwood and Hella Navigation, Steaming, and Anchor lights that use a 31mm (1-1/4") cone end festoon bulb. It replaces Perko number 0071DPCLR, which sometime is also known as a Fig. 71.

This bulb is specifically designed to be used in the Perko Series 1100 and 1300 series, including the popular Perko 1183 double-bulb anchor light as well as the 1123, 1181, 1184, 1331, 1332, 1178 lamp. This bulb also fits Attwood 3100, 3830, 7200 and 7400 lamps that use the Attwood 9230 bulb.  It also replaces the Aqua Signal 90022 used in Series 20 lamps, and replaces the bulbs used in the Hella 2010 dual bulb anchor/steaming masthead fixture.

These lamps are MUCH brighter than the original incandescent festoons, and easily meet the 2nm visibility requirements.  Choose Cool White for anchor lights, steaming lights, and stern lights, and Warm White for bi-colored lamps.  If you have separate red or green sidelight fixtures (i.e. not bi-color), you need the colored bulbs, go here.

WE HAVE TWO TYPES - PLEASE SELECT CAREFULLY.  For Perko fixtures, see Perko Selection Guide.  For Attwood dual bulb fixtures, we recommend the 12-LED type in both sockets.

The double-bulb Perko fixtures (pictured below) require a 225° forward facing bulb, and a 135° type facing aft found here.  Because the aft-facing 135° stern light in the double-bulb fixtures have cast-in "blinders" which limit the width of the bulb, you need to choose the correct bulb, as our forward-facing 225° bulb is too wide to fit the aft facing socket.

Our 225° bulb is uniquely designed with the 12 of the newest DOMINANT micro-LEDs, which allow for 6 forward facing and 6 side facing emitters, for a total of more than 225° of beam angle, so it can be used for masthead (forward facing) and stern (aft facing) applications. Our 135° aft-facing bulb uses 4 triple-emitter wide angle surface mount LEDs. Its narrow frame fits between the cast sector blinders in the Perko aft facing section.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Please be aware that the Perko dual-bulb fixture is very small and has very tight fitting bulbs, which in many cases will require some effort, or additional leverage, just to remove the original bulb. Our bulbs will fit the fixture, however, it is best to separate the two halves of the lamp to install the bulbs, which can be done by loosening the single screw directly under the tube mounting hole. This will allow you to install the bulb easily.  Optionally, after installing the bottom of the base you can use a certain amount of thumb pressure on the top cone to install, which may deform the end cones slightly during installation. This will not affect the performance or warranty of the bulb, so press away!
